So how would this one compare to the HK Models one?

This one was obviously intended to be a movie prop.  The HK one?

Hi Brian:

I had coffee this morning with Mike Belcher of Belcher Bits.  Mike makes decals and resin items for the 1/32 Lancaster.

He saw the Wingnuts Lancaster sprues at the IPMS Nationals in Chattanooga. His comment is that it will be better than the HK version.

Just take the option I'm thinking about: they're releasing a forward fuselage/cockpit kit as well.

Hobbyists are mourning the demise of Sir Peter Jackson's Wingnut Wings World War 1 model-making company.

But despite obituaries being written on hobbyist websites, the company has remained silent on its future, and there was no indication on the company's website that its employees had lost their jobs.

"The company has shut down," former Wingnut artist Malcolm Laird confirmed.

Hi all,
This weekend is the first of New Zealand's two big airshows this year, Wings Over Wairarapa. The host airfield is home to The Vintage Aviator Limited's (Sir Peter Jackson) flying WW1 fleet. Yesterdat this popped up on TVAL's Facebook page:

I'm at the show on Saturday so I'll be taking photos and asking questions, fingers crossed they can shed some light on the future...or at least some hints about whether all is truly lost.

I didn't find out a thing - the two or three staff were busy selling and, given there were paying customers and I had my nephew with me,
I didn't want to wait around and take up their time.

But it looked like a clearance sale to me. It was rather telling that there were no new products on display and the only built model was a broken Camel Blu-tacked to a base, rather than a pristine build in a sealed case.

Just under 7.5m (24.5') long. Niiice. It would make a nice cozy cat hideout.
