 Spot on, to my recollection - she was fairly thinly armored, even by the standards of the time. Her iron was eventually stripped, and she served the remainder of her career as an unarmored patrol vessel.

And, I seem to recall, she was later converted into a sail-powered "cargo" ship, having her engines & boilers removed to create cargo space.
