Replace the original SCUD missile with a large cannister of similar dimensions to the original missile and call it an upgrade to a new weapon system that was designed to replace the SCUD missile.  As for physical details, well, leave that to their collective imaginations. 

So, almost like the RSD-10 Pioneer/SS-20 Saber?

Perhaps a more British Sabre Dingo carrying two Firestreaks or Redtops and using the same radar fitted to the P.1109 and the HUnter that trialed the Fireflash?

If you are going with single-engined tigers, how about a matching single-engined Talon with moernized and updated cockpit?  Too, given the somewhat modular nature of the T-38/F-5 design with everything the same from the canted aft cockpit bulkhea aft, you could also do a single- or twin-seat recce bird or repackage a designation pod in the recce nose as a fast Forward Air Controller.

How about a B-44B/washington B.@, ior MR.2, in RaAF service with twin ADEN turrets replacing the four .50 cal. turrets?  Start with a B-50 kit, add the turrets and guns from a Tu-4 conversion, and then add whatever other mods seem appropriate for your approach.
