I remembered I had an ancient Bison bomber in the drawer of doom. I have no idea where it came from or how long I've had it. Landing gear, gun turrets, decals, instructions and side blister windows are missing. At one time many moons ago I sanded off the raised outlines for the decals and tried to fix a few gaps. I may try to replace the cockpit glazing as it appears to be covered in glue from the inside. I would have to add an IFR probe to the nose and a better radar shape than the one I put on there ages ago. Not sure if I should try rebuilding the landing gear or just mount it on a brass rod. No idea what scale or manufacturer this is.
A little research shows the Soviets did use them for maritime patrol for a while.

Unfortunately, mate, I think she's a little too far along the build process to be considered. :icon_crap:
A shame, really, as I would love to have seen where you went with her in the GB.

Regarding the started builds by Kerick & RayS:
I've had a rethink &, as the GB has been going for a week (which would be time to get some builds to where theirs are) & because part of the reasoning for GB's is to give people a push to complete started builds, I have reversed my decision &;
they may enter their builds in the current Maritime Patrol GB.

Thanks mi amigo! I had picked out an IFR probe and a few other bits to whiff ‘er up. The paint scheme as far as I could tell was NMF over a very light grey. We’ll see if that holds up.

To keep the GB as loose as possible, so we can get more entrants; Yes.
(But, personally, I think you're pushing the boundaries, Paul. ;))
For ships I was thinking more along the lines of radar pickets, ELINT, ASW sweeps or, even, the old anti-piracy patrols carried out by various navies over the centuries.

Sadly, I think I might do . . . I'm just not getting any time for model making at the moment.
Painting's done, decals are on but not sealed, but I still have all the fiddly stuff to do . . . :( :icon_sueno:

I do like participating in Group Builds, I don't like spoiling the models by having to rush to meet the deadline when I inevitably fall behind.
Ironically, not only did I manage to finish work today at a decent time, but also did so without ending up half knackered. So I've been able to get the decals sealed this evening . . .
