Limited for models but here is some inspiration never-the-less:

Would be interesting to see a relook at this design with the engine from the F-35 being used along with the driven lift fan.  Yeah, reality bites and that would never work but in plastic or resin one can certainly make it a thing...

Dust off blueprints and redo with today's materials, engines, electronics....

Probably still wouldn't work.  Ejector augmentation has been tried multiple times and doesn't work (for ex., XV-4 had it replaced with a battery of J85 lift engines as the XV-4B); there seems to be a loss of performance between scale models used for testing and the full-scale item.  Now, I could see this basic layout being used with the F-35B's engine and lift fan, though there would be some necessary redesign; OTOH, it would not be as stealthy as a F-35B.  It's too bad it never flew conventionally without trying for VSTOL capabilities as I would love to know how the basic configuration flew.

A bad idea that wasted the time and money spent.

It would have been interesting to see the airframe here combined with the rival Convair Model 200 (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=6244.0) with 2 × Rolls-Royce/Allison XJ99 turbofan engines lift-jets added in instead of or as a compliment to the ejector lift system.

Instead of would make more sense.  Ejector lift is an idea that doesn't scale from model tests to full size aircraft.
