fulltrack APC from a 251 (engine relocated to side at rear) ;)

^ Sd.Kfz. 113 ? ;) Okay, 113 isn't half of either 250 or 251, but it looks like 113 is a somewhat fitting number for it. :P

once did something along those lines................

Now that's clever!

I must be stupid. I did not note the hanomag photo was edited.
Hahahaha!

Looks similar to the real world Kätzchen. Here is a simple line drawing:

Have you seen the turreted hanomag? Did it exist? Is it a whif?

Found this on Facebook.
I'm not a treadhead / Sd.Kfz. 251 expert so any comments if this real or fake?

They look like the real deal to me, & notice the hand-painted nature of the markings & catalogue number in the bottom right corner of the image.
I'd guess this is a real, period image of a US Army unit with captured German half-tracks (Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D, probably).
Interestingly the front fenders have been removed from both of them.

Combining the last few posts, the next logical step would be a Hanomag with a Greyhound turret on it. Yugoslavia maybe?

Excellent suggestion!

Here's something I cobbled together recently...
Logan's Profiles - SdKfz 231 Halbkettenfahrzeug (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=144.msg140069#msg140069)
(By the way, I'm posting it in multiple threads since you never know where someone might be looking for inspiration months from now.)
Cheers,
Logan

Sd.Kfz. 251 with a AML-90 turret ?
IIRC the IDF used a M-3 Halftrack also with the same low-pressure 90mm gun as used on the AML-90

Hobby Lobby has the Tamiya kit dirt cheap. Mail order claims SOLD OUT, but when the stores reopen they might still be on the shelves.

Neat. Like a German BA-6/10
Wait. Doesn't the SDKFz-231 6 rad look like a wheeled predecessor?
