I literally have that Ford Tri-Motor gunship on the to-do list.

To be honest, I probably stole that off the thread discussing upcoming GB ideas. In my defense, it IS a really good example.
Is something half built eligible?
I need incentive to finish it.

I have no problem allowing a partial-start into this build, especially if it will re-ignite the engine to get it completed.
Not quite sure this idea fits the theme, so I need a ruling.

Yay or nay?
Question- does AEGIS reconstruction of Long Beach (http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?dir=Never Built Designs/United States of America/CGN-09 Long Beach AEGIS Upgrade Proposal.gif) or Virginia (http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?dir=Never Built Designs/United States of America/CGN-42 1.gif) qualify?
(I didn't do either one of the above examples, of course, but those are potential inspirations of what I might do to something else...... I'm inclined to think that it'd be on the same level as Polygon's idea, but just to be sure......)
I'd love to hear how your engineers hardened AEGIS to take the overpressure from the main battery ;)
Other than that; COOL!!!!!!!!
Modernized BB with Aegis? I'd say that fits the Extended Service Life concept. Welcome to the fun house!

I actually wasn't planning on installing the aegis, the good thing about the hobbyboss burkes is that the aegis panels aren't molded into the structure.
The reason I asked was because ripping off and replacing the superstructure is not the easiest way to extend a ships life.
So by service do you mean it has to be military?, or can it be any bit of machine technology, for any use?

Ok, I have my incomplete Type 42 "Adelaide Class Light Destroyer" that I started late March for the Floaty GB

I had stuff all done by the 1st of April and I missed the deadline for that GB. As I had decided to finish is with an ASMD mast for a 2015 or later ship, could I finish it for this GB instead?
I've got 3 extended life span/updated flying things planned. First, an RCN A-4, this one actually have working right now. Then an Irish AC A-4 and Irish AC Mirage F.1.
Cheers and happy modeling, Bryan

Triplicate?? What sort of half-arsed show are we running here?? We demand quintuplicate as a minimum!!! C:-)
May I suggest June 21st?
I said "as a minimum"...
May I suggest June 21st?
3weeks??!!! Bloody hell!!!
I suspect I'll need an extension if one's going: one thing after another have kept occuring here.... ::)
To match the theme the GB would not only be extended by two weeks, but the start date would
also be retroactively moved back two weeks.
Only a week or so to go... >:(
Only with a written note from a Time Lord. In quintuplicate. On unobtanium. Notarized.
Mine fell at the last hurdle - see the thread for details....... :-[
