BTW the snag with the M8 turret is the difference in turret ring diameter:
M22 = 47.45", M8 = 54.4"
Plus the M8 is 1,500 lbs heavier than the M5, so the turret would probably overload the M22.

So I'd be tempted to modify the M22 turret to an open configuration with the gun and mantlet
from the M8.
