Hallo,
I was looking at the "inspiration" thread of this GB and I had an idea: I am taking some medicine in small plastic tubes...
and some of the pictures of that thread reminded me of thhose tubes and I conceived the Tricyclone.
Here are my initial steps:
here is my raw material
(http://www.andonio.it/model/tricyclone/002.jpg)
I inserted in the back side the axles for the two back wheels and shaped the ... ehr ... how do you call it? The part that once twisted opens the tube to let the medicine slip into your mouth...
Then I cut three circles in 1 mm thick plasticard and used three o-rings from my scratch box
(http://www.andonio.it/model/tricyclone/004.jpg)
And this is the Tricyclone seen froma different angle.
Now I need to build some sort of cockpit and then fix the front wheel and some extra detalis...
I hope you'll like it!

Nice approach :) I like it !

That's really neat, Antonio and quite an imaginative use of found objects!
Love it!

Muchas Gracias!

That's ingenious. Not only for the rearrangement of the shapes, but for the use of a plastic that can be really tricky to work with!
-
Thanks Dr. YoKai,
you're totally right, that plastic is very difficult to work on, no glue appears to work with it but the CA "gel", the liquid one does not work...
Moreover I have sprayed it with white primer and then put some masking tape on to paint some colour belts and the primer came off in one zone, so I had to touch up by brush...
In any case it is nearly finished, I guess by the incoming weekend it will be done.
Thanks everybody for the appreciation!

Hallo fellows forumites!
this is the current state of the powerful muscle-tube called Tricyclone:
Painted, applied some decals and prepared the final details...
starboard view. The "nose" is a gunner turret from some 1/72 bomber kit, it had a unique vertical vent in the middle that was slightly enlarged with a small file to let the front mudguard / wheel cowling in it.
port view. The cockpit can be seen from this view (oops I forgot to shoot a top view!), it is made cutting the fuselage and inserting the bottom of another tube that was painted Flat Aluminum.
I cut that bottom tube chunk in a way that lets a sort of windshield out of the fuselage.
Front view
(http://www.andonio.it/model/tricyclone/008.jpg)
bottom view. You can see from here the effect of the insertion of the cockpit in the fuselage: two small "cheeks" appeared...
Final details:
The wheels. The small one is flat aluminum, although it may seem white.
The inner side of the big wheels is flat aluminum as well.
Seat, exhaust tubes to be glued behind the cockpit under the fin and "steering wheel".
Now I need to put some seat belts on the seat and glue those details at their place and the Tricyclone will be ready!
Thanks for watching!
Antonio
EDIT
Oops I had made the top view, here it is:

Thanks OW... indeed it came together, and I finally call it finished.
Here are the photos.
Thanks for watching, it was really fun to imagine and build it!

What a lovely little masterpiece, Antonio!
It must've taken the patience of a saint to get all those yellow squares on.
Outstanding!

Thanks everybody...
I am glad you liked it!
@Brian: the squares were a pattern decal, all the squares joined together, I only had to use the scissors to isolate pieces of checkerboard I wanted to stick on the Tricyclone.
The Saints come marchin' in on other builds indeed !!! ;D

Niiiice! :)

Did build the hard way, making a model from non-model parts :icon_surprised:
Looks destined for Bonneville Salt Flats.
