We'll fill you all in on the full backstory when the profile's done, but you should be able to figure out the broad strokes pretty well on your own. I'll drop some preview images below for those that may not follow my thread as closely:



Here's the line art that Talos got to last year, but I didn't get the full size layers to work with it until August 2nd, so much of the work will be done during the time of the GB, including all the new lighting and shading (which is a lot of work, believe you me).



Here's a selection of my research material. I'd highly recommend all of these books, but the two on the ends, especially.











Click on the white image below to see it at full size, too. You should be able to make out the rivet detail on the new jet nose.



Anyway, it should give you some idea of what we're working on. You could probably approximate the look pretty closely with a Yak-15 and He 100 kitbash if you were so inclined.

Great! Do you have a piston source for this jet? (and could add a zwilling half-jet half-piston asymmetric wonder... With piston for range and jet for speed...)

That reminds me of the "Jet-LaGG" that I built, using a Zvezda 1/144 LaGG-3. The plastic was very difficult to work with, so the results aren't great:

According to me, your result is great, just requiring a little blur... (I made it with my old software Corel PhotoPaint6/Effets/Flou/Dispersion/5):

Logan's work is very perfect, I agree, and we are all a little shameful not to be so perfect, but there are different ways...
