Miles Entry to Specification N.7-46
« on: August 20, 2015, 01:19:18 AM »
I recently noticed a what-if in the background of an artist's impression of a Miles M.100 Student on an aircraft carrier. The picture can be found on the following page:

The generic naval fighter in the background is similar to both a Hawker Sea Hawk and a Supermarine Attacker but is neither. Perhaps an interesting glimpse at what a Miles carrier-borne fighter might look like?? My interest was sufficiently piqued to make a profile "based" on it. So without further ado.....

Looks very cool! 8)

But ... is it just me or is it missing red centres to its roundels? ???

Thanks guys!

^ since the Soviet Union much like Japan had red national markings, I figured the Allies would once again lose the red in their own national markings. Didn't just want 2 copy the BPF or SEAC roundels though so went with something different yet recognisable.

Ahhh right, that makes sense, I was also wondering why the red was missing too :)
