What on earth do i do with a badly mishapen Hurricane Radiator !? Im building the Legato Hurricane IIc so i cant easily just email them for spare parts either !! :/

Leave it off and build the Speed Hurricane with experimental evaporative cooling?

Hmm...subtle whiff - substitute a Spitfire radiator?

Make a new one from modelling foam or putty?

Leading edge radiators?

Experimental Ramjet?

How about building an annular radiator like those fitted to the Merlins on Lincoln bombers. Would look cool and save weight thanks to shorter coolant plumbing.

While all awesome replies unfortunately this is a real world build for a magazine :(



The missing part is not a slipped cut on my part... It was moulded like that :(

Evergreen make a number of different sized styrene strip and bars, one in particular that I got is 5mm x 3mm in section and they come 300mm long.  It looks like you could glue a small length of it in the gap, then file and sand it to match the shape that's already there.
