This one is fairly straightforward. A landplane ground attack version of the Floatplane. This is the Toko kit ( which has really nice box art. ) from earlier this century. I also tried to fake up a passable 20 mm Becker
cannon. The interior shot is a pair of additional clips, which are still al but invisible, even through the open
gunner's station.

Finish is going to be pattern on a late-war Albatross C XIII tan/khaki undersurfaces and fuselage sides,
with dark green/purple areas on the wings and tailplane.

Looks great, Craig! The Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 was much larger than it appears to be at first glance (44+ foot wingspan!) so that 20mm gun must be huge.

True confession time - I discvoered after the fact that I do have the dimensions of the Becker in my library*, and the gun I built is a bit, ah, over scale... :-[ so its now a 30 mm Becker.** ;) The last of it is
wrapped up, though I'm still debating hanging some small bombs underneath. It'll probably be Friday before
I can take some pictures, though.

Cool, but ya might wanna change it to a fixed gun firing through the belly, it'd be a beast to
control due to slipstream effects. The classic, shall I say overdone, modern side-firing gunship
concept would be a sitting duck in the WWI trench environment, hell it's reached its end today.

As I recall, none of the fixed gun through the belly arrangements were particularly successful, either - aiming then depended on the pilot, who had to do some fairly involved mental gymnastics to know when to pull the trigger. Still, I take your point about slipstream effects and and large weapons. The Davis guns, and the large flat magazines of the Gast mg would have suffered similiar problems. In any ase, its done
enough for me. A bit of clear blister pack acetate for the windscreen, and the exhaust pipes ( which went on a lot easier than I anticipated ) and here you go.
