during the 80s the raf decided to design its own multirole aircraft to replace the aging phantom.
the lightning was rejected because it just wasnt versatile enough.
the tornado was big enough
after the success of the tsr3 it was decided to develop this into a service variant hence the tsr 2 fgr4 was born.

it didnt have mach 3 on tap (it was limited to mach 2.8 for short bursts) or thrust vectoring but it did have the intakes fbw and engines from the tsr3.
this gave it unparalleled performance (thanks in no small part to 130,000 lb thrust on tap) and excellent weapons carrying ability. the canards fbw and extra lifting surface also endowed it with very good maneuverability.

On top of wing foreplane and intake changes, the finish is reflective smooth enough to reflect my turning green.  8)
