Leave it off and build the Speed Hurricane with experimental evaporative cooling?

Hmm...subtle whiff - substitute a Spitfire radiator?

Make a new one from modelling foam or putty?

Leading edge radiators?

Experimental Ramjet?

How about building an annular radiator like those fitted to the Merlins on Lincoln bombers. Would look cool and save weight thanks to shorter coolant plumbing.

The missing part is not a slipped cut on my part... It was moulded like that :(

Any ideas !?

Evergreen make a number of different sized styrene strip and bars, one in particular that I got is 5mm x 3mm in section and they come 300mm long.  It looks like you could glue a small length of it in the gap, then file and sand it to match the shape that's already there.
