Title: AutoDesk 123D suite
Post by: Frank3k on May 23, 2012, 10:28:01 AM
This is a free (so far) suite of 3D software products that let you design and print 3D objects:

AutoDesk 123D is a 3D modeler similar (but not as annoying to use) to Sketchup: http://www.123dapp.com/123d (http://www.123dapp.com/123d)
AutoDesk Catch will convert several photos into a 3D object: http://www.123dapp.com/catch (http://www.123dapp.com/catch)
AutoDesk 3D make is an object slicer (you can print slices of the object). Convenient if you don't want to use a 3D printer: http://www.123dapp.com/make (http://www.123dapp.com/make)
Autodesk Sculpt is a digital putty modeler: http://www.123dapp.com/sculpt (http://www.123dapp.com/sculpt)

They have online as well as iPad apps as well. I've used Sculpt on an iPad and it's fun.
