Title: Jag - Ermeister
Post by: TimJ on August 04, 2017, 08:19:52 AM
I'd been thinking of joining in for a while so with the announcement of the one month extension I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring with this.

The orange paint is ready and waiting.

It's going to be a treat seeing this one come together!

You sure can't go wrong with a Jag.

Well you can...

...although that probably isn't what you meant. ;)

I started off by painting the wheels and brake discs, after which the suspension and wheel arches were fitted to the floor and painted matt black.

The interior parts were painted as per the instructions except for the roll cage which was painted orange.

Speaking of orange, the body was painted next.

Thanks Brian. I repainted the seat black as I thought the red clashed with the orange. When that and the rest of the detail painting was done the interior was assembled.

The decals went on well. The minor sponsors decals are from an Airfix 1/32 Mini Countryman WRC and the numbers from a 1/72 F-86.

Still a few things left to do but it'll be finished by the weekend if not sooner.

The roll cage looks like the real deal!

Those logos take me back. In my youth, we referred to Jager as the Death Ray.

Looks like you're almost across the finish line!

That came out nicely! Shouldn't it have been minty green, though? And weaving in and out of lanes....

Talk about a stunner!

If you had a background and used a little forced perspectives, I bet you could gas-light folks into thinking it was real.

Outstanding!

(already hung over from all that Jager...)
