Slight Forum Rejig and Maintenance
« on: October 05, 2013, 04:30:22 AM »
Folks,

Over this weekend, we will aim to do a slight forum rejig and some maintenance.  For the most part, this should not affect your use of the forum.  There may however be a slight disruption whilst it occurs and there may also be a side effect that all unread posts will appear as read.  We apologise for this but the effort should be worth it.

We will try to keep the disruption to a minimum and will also try to do it when there is no-one online.

Regards,

Greg

Ok folks, all the work has been done.  You will note the slight change in the appearance, the main feature of which is that we have split the forum up into the following separate sections:

Notices - basically a notice board whereby we list notices and rules etc. Mathis is also where you can raise issues, especially those of a technical nature.

Current and Finished Projects - self explanatory and covering builds of all formats.

Modelling - where we put all the other modelling aspects, especially ideas and inspiration, tools, tips and supporting material.  For now we have also put the Group Builds in this area.

General - this is what everything used to be categorised as.  Now though it is where we keep the Back Bar, Market Place and Events.

Sparring Room - because of its controversial aspect, I have put the Sparring Room in its own area so that you can easily ignore it if so be.

One of the advantages of this rejig is, we hope, that you can only focus upon the areas you like and ignore the rest if need be.

I hope all this works smoothly and satisfies members.  If anyone experiences any issues or don't like the new setup, please speak up and let us know.

Regards,

Greg

PS.  Sorry to those of you I kicked off whilst I was doing the upgrade. ;)

ah that's much better with the physical models being able to see what's new.
