Well if it's the end of the world, you're going to need serious wheels:

The Damnation Alley Landmaster page: http://www.snowcrest.net/fox/landmaster/

On the other hand, if you prefer the minimalist approach, there's always a Survival Rat bike, as seen in any number of Mad Max films an their clones.

More than any sane person could want to know about rat bikes: http://www.ratbike.org/

Thanks for those Damnation Alley pics, Weaver!

I remember when that "made-for-TV" movie was first broadcast and not long ago, I found it on YouTube.

Those giant car-eating cockroaches used to keep me awake at night.

Talk about a trip down memory lane!

Brian,
as hard as it may be to believe, Damnation Alley was a big, budget theatrical release and it was supposed to be 20th Century Fox's summer blockbuster for 1977. Their second-string release for the year was one in which they had little confidence. You may know that one as it made stars of Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.

Wow I never knew that! I remember Damnation Alley being hyped hard before it aired on NBC I think it was.

Screwy as it is,  I remember when that dog of a flick "Inchon" came out...

Thank you, Mr JCF!

Gentlemen, we're fast approaching the starting line. In fact, some of you are already there!

Anybody else seen or read Metro 2033?

Bit of a "Fallout", "Half-Life", "Metro 2033" & (although not really post-apoc) "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." series fan, here.

Got some post-apoc builds from the last couple of years that I'll try to post here & I may even try to get a build done (but don't hold your breath).

I'll leave it until I find a better way to post pic's here before I try again. This was too difficult & time consuming for me.

Greg,

I wouldn't worry too much, it was just direct-linked images from Photobucket. I think the problem may have been my computer & your site not communicating at optimum speed last night - or, maybe, the images are too large.

I'll give it a bash after work tonight & see how I go.

Cheers

Guy
