Pandemic shopping (1/35 figures)
« on: June 03, 2020, 09:15:05 AM »
The Master Box "Europe 1945" is excellent - I used the two figures on the left in a previous project; now it was time to build the two on the right:

I didn't want to paint faces again, but I did have some Live Resin gas masks... I didn't take any pictures during the build.

The hunt was successful! Time to post the result on Insta-twitter-face!:

I extended the guy's pant legs and gave him a hoodie, both made with Procreate. Some day, I'll get hoodies right. I also sanded off all the insignia. The roll of TP is Tamiya tape rolled up and pained off-white.

I had used the brunette's leg with the blonde, so I had to rework the blonde's legs/feet. I ended up losing one foot, so both came off and were replaced by the feet from the figure from Bandai's "Bulma's Capsule NO.9 Motorcycle"

They were close enough to 1/35. My wife gave me dress color suggestions (but wasn't impressed with the choice/color of the footwear) and suggested the pink mask:

Why am I thinking of this video by Sir Mix-A-Lot?:

This was a pretty quick, relatively fun project. I enjoyed my wife's suggestions, too.

Thanks! I don't know why the jeans are shiny - I gave both a good coating of flat.

The girl's left hand is from Verlinden and the guy's left hand is from Hornet. The girl's hair is Procreate putty. The iphone is a styrene rectangle.

They do look shiny enough to still have creases and a cardboard flap on the back pocket  ;D  Is that the flash or do the jeans look shiny viewed first-person as well?

It’s not flash, but an LED arch I used for lighting. They look flat in person. I’ll try to photograph them in daylight.

Not quite daylight, but not as much sheen:

Also-  because I'm 12 - I invited Mssrs. J.A.Kumpf and H.E. Mitchell to come forward 91 years and give us their opinion:

"Ja, Mr. Mitchell, she does have a grossen Arsch."

He's got a keen eye, does Herr Kumpf. Probably your Missus is relieved that he hasn't also critiqued the footwear  ;)
