Savoia S.21 from the "Porco Rosso" movie
« on: April 15, 2014, 03:45:03 PM »
Hallo: this is the 2nd part of the Miyazaki triptyque...

The Savoia S.21 which was flown by Porco Rosso, former Italian pilot during WW1 who got his face deformed in combat making him look as a pig.
After the war he kept flying, patrolling the Adriatic sea against the raids of the Mammaiuto pirates...

Both the kits (this and the Curtiss) are Fine Molds (1/48th scale) and are perhaps the best quality I've found since I started modeling again 4 years ago...

Now I'm playing with the 3rd and last part of the trilogy: the Dabohaze plane (read all about it in the dedicated thread)

Thanks again for your attention

Antonio

Splendid job!  :)

I've got the 1/72nd version of this kit: I'm scared of making a mess of it, but this is inspiring....
