I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Looks good! Not a lot of detail on the engine but not bad! :)

It does look nice, but I'm sure I'll be happy with the Airfix offering - especially as I only want a single-seater  8)

What is the name of Larry Bell is this horror?  Is the rear cockpit used when you need to fly with your mother-in-law?

The obvious idea is to ditch the forward cockpit, install a second engine in its place and make it a racer!  :icon_beer:

Two P-63E-1s were modified by Bell with a separate observer seat in the rear fuselage, located behind the engine and mounted under a separate canopy. A probe was mounted which extended through the spinner, and to make space for the observer the radio equipment had to be moved forward into the armament bay. The aircraft carried the civilian registrations NX41963 and NX41964.

I like your thinking.

Another option might be to give the observer a gun.

Is the one with the radically clipped wings a racer?

Well you live and learn. I really thought that super clipped wing bird would have been unable to take off with that span ?? It's probably the smallest span I've seen on a traditionally powered aircraft.

It wouldn't have to carry much weight though, just enough fuel for the line up and 4 to 6 laps around the pylons ----

I wonder how it would perform with an A-26 prop on it (which most other racers seem to prefer)

IF they are doing a Hart, might we see an Osprey, too?

Not sure, though with luck we will see the entire family:  Hart, Audax, Demon, Hardy, Hind and Osprey.

Personally, I would love to do a Osprey Floatplane version operating from an island/coastal base somewhere in Asia or the Middle East.
