Title: 1/72 BSG Viper Mk1 Original Series

Wanted to whip out a model to take to ScaleModelworld this year, so I chose a simple 1/72 Resin Viper kit by Stargazer Models

Nice enought but the canopy frames are waaaaaay over scale.. should I have fixed it?.. yes.. did I? .. err..no.

Well simple lasted for 8 minutes, till I decided that it needed lights, so some serious dremel work

Pity about the over-scale framing but sometime you just have to draw a line in the sand.

Nice stuff.

The canopy frames are necessarily heavier to accommodate the thicker corrective glass panels required by astigmatic pilots.

Hadn't wanted to comment before... but an idea hits at a weird time.

The over scale canopy framing can still be easily fixed. Just paint over the windows, like one of the Vipers that cleared the minefield leading to Carrilon. The framing is still too heavy, but who can tell without contrast?
