1/350 scale ships
« on: March 17, 2014, 04:27:19 PM »
Not whiffers, but part of the reason my fighter sub has not advanced too much lately.

HMAS Collins

S-204

And a pair of LCACs.  The one on the open ocean took 3rd in ships at our local model show in February.

^ what he said :)

Really nice work and always good to see air cushion craft and submarines no matter what scale they are.

Those are just beautiful !!!   One question, just what(or who) is that on the bow of the sub ?  Ok,two, where are the crew for the Zodiac ?  Alright, three, please, what is your opinion of the 1/350 scale figure sets that Eduard has ? I'm wanting to get into actually building some of my stash's 1/350 scale ships and those "might" be just the thing to add.

Part of the sensor systems I believe, exactly what I'm  not 100% sure.   However I am told I have put the ones on my models on backwards. :-[

They are coming, I'd like to say soon, however our local model show is held in February.  So most likely two days before the show I'll try to get some crew for the sub and a couple of crew and some bods looking like SAS troopers into the Zodiac.
I'm afraid I haven't bought any 1/350 figures yet, the only ones I have are some photo etch ones and a couple of 3d ones that came in other kits.  I am probably going to go for 3d figures wherever possible as I like the idea of them over etch ones.

I must admit that I have been tempted to get one of the Collins Class kits and do a stretched version.

As it happens, Spaceship Modeler has some 1/400 scale plastic figures from Gundum,I think.  They ship anywhere and I can recommend them as a good place to buy.  Thanks for the info on the sub.  Squadron has a bunch of different P/E  figure sets. Check them in a few days to see what's on sale.

Those are very nice indeed! I don't think I've seen watery/wavey bases ever done better!
