This took place today in San Pedro, Los Angeles, next to the USS Iowa. There were vehicles from the US Navy, Marines, Army and  Space Force (space debris).
My wife was working the Space Force tent (which got quite a few visitors - there were still people dropping by when I was helping tear down the tent). It was extremely crowded, but it was a sunny and cool day, so I got some pictures (mostly reference pictures - tire wear, scratches on the paint, etc.) when I could get a view past the heads and asses. I didn't go on board the USS Iowa, in part because it was a 4 hour wait.

The Iowa is very, very big:

MRZR D4 Ultra-light Tactical All-terrain Vehicle. Magic Factory did a good job on their kit. I remember all of the small parts:

M151 without weapons:

Must be a British made M1 - note the oil pans:

The Marines were letting people play with stingers and M4A1 carbines (I didn't get any pics of those)

The Army had some drones:

The official bird of Los Angeles was showing off its plumage. Noisy little bastards:

Good modelling   Are the tracks of your MTLB too short ?  Have heard many complaints about that but mine are ok unless they shrink with time.

Thanks! Yes, the Skif tracks were way too short. They were probably short by 12-15 links if they were individual links. I also have the Skif 2S1 kit and those were also too short. They both use the same tracks. What I am going to do is take the longer set of tracks from the 2S1 kit and combine them with the longer set of tracks from the MT-LB kit but then they are too long so will need to be cut to the correct size. I will use the shorter tracks on the 2S1 but will show the tracks as thrown off so the length won't matter.

Trumpeter makes a set of 2S1 tracks I was thinking of getting but the Skif kits are cheap and not worth spending the money on. My MT-LB is a what if project anyway so the kit tracks are good enough.

Prolific!

I have very limited time to paint so I put together as many as I can during the winter months. I can only paint outside in the spring and autumn. I can only paint mid spring as late spring into early summer there is a lot of pollen. Early spring is still way too cold to paint outside. Roughly middle/late spring though, there is a lot of pollen as I live in the middle of the woods in the mountains. Between the pollen, heat, humidity and wildlife, it is hard to paint outdoors without ruining the paint. Hopefully, all those I put together will eventually get painted one day. I did manage to prime eight kits over the weekend between the humidity and rain.

Okay . . .
Got a bit behind with this . . . this is because the engine exhaust pipes have to fit from the inside, but because of their length, they have to go in before the fuselage halves are joined. So I had to paint and finish them before i could assemble the fuselage,

and the wings attached.

That's All For Now, Stay Tuned . . .

cheers,
Robin.

After Martin XB-51 lost Light Tactical Bomber fly-off competition to Canberra, Martin selected to build the Canberra (designated B-57) under license. During early 1951 Martin Company offered new blended design that incorporated top features of British Canberra and its XB-51.

Just a nice photo of the Hawker Tempest Mk.I with the wing mounted leading edge radiators.
