I believe that the French Leclerc MBT was originally termed "Napoleon" when it was proposed as a joint venture with Germany.

Had that have made it to fruition, I would bet all of the American tankers would have labeled it 'The Tick'.  ::)

Story:
So this blog post elaborates on the evolution from that TV-8 (Tick Tank) into what we see that the Russians wrote about.  The Russian illustration (post #1) looks more realistic than the Concept Model (as presented by the cast of MADMEN, below).
