For a sec I thought the wood section under the tail was part of the tail - extra lobster-like

I'm calling this kit 99 44/100% done.

Here we have the RCN "Admiral's Gig". A Convair license built HS 125. This aircraft was stolen, I mean loaned to the head the RCN, Admiral R.C. Nesbit. (nice isn't when your initials are the same as the service).

Finished in RCN two greys plus high visibility orange. A nice cheat line along the fuselage. Paint scheme is a hybrid of RCN CS2F Trackers and T-33s. Decals are from Belcher Bits, Mike Grant and spares.  And yes, the yellow "NAVY" is legit. Sea Fury's had it.  Painted via hairy stick with Humbrol gloss cote.

This is the 1968 Airfix Dominie T.1. I think I am sucker for punishment for trying to take these old kits and turning them into a Rose.

I am still looking for 1/72 decal which would indicate a Flag Officer's ride.

Pure eye-candy all the way Mr Gimper!

I really like how those orange panels are set off by the black.

Yet more proof (as if any more were needed) that few things spice up an aircraft better than those magnificent maple leafs!

Very well done my friend!

Taking in details.  Those colors make this baby pop after applying Humbrol Gloss Cote.  That your first choice in gloss ?
Fine eye for hybrid scheme.  Like a bunch.

I am still looking for 1/72 decal which would indicate a Flag Officer's ride.

IIRC there's a Model Decal sheet that has a Hunter T.7 or T.8 Admiral's Barge scheme included. I'll have a look through what I have and see if I have that one.
