Helicopter landing spot question
« Reply #125 on: October 03, 2020, 03:55:19 PM »
I'm trying out something inspired by the Alamgir's modifications but based on a long-hull OH Perry:

The top half is meant to depict the helicopter when it's on the spot for takeoff or landing.

Is it okay to have the tail of the helicopter overhanging beyond the helipad while being at it?  Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Nevermind- if the below pictures are anything to go by, it is.

Forget about his bow and arrows- why wait until that sparrow has done his deed when I can just bury him right now 'cause I'm sick and tired of hearing why he wants to have his way with the cock robin!?

Alternative proposals to the Ning-Hai class cruisers.  What ended up being built were a result of wanting as many big (by ROCN standard) guns as possible while being unable to come up with enough money for proper, modern cruisers  :(

So Japan is entertaining the idea of a large BMD ship, too, except possibly based on the faster Izumo class hull.

I had the same thought when I first saw this OPV  ;D

Fincantieri itself doesn't have much to say about the 'double bow' on its Paolo Thaon di Revel class.

I'm assuming that it does an even better job at reducing bow wake compared with a bulbous bow. Or is it merely a way to arrive at the same wake reduction as a bulbous bow with less plate shaping required?

This hypothetical refit of the cancelled Type 43 destroyer really has no business looking as good as it does.

Move the Sea Eagle SL forwards. A couple more each, alongside the bridge. Think Slava-class, but actually useful.
