Armour dawn
« on: February 04, 2013, 09:01:57 PM »
Two profiles of imaginary late first world war "Dragon" tank, based on German LK prototypes. It's armed with light, battalion level 76 mm howitzer, with only vertical freedom of movement, and machine gun in commander turret.
First one is slightly based on Auscam, and can be called "stones"

And second one is based on British geometric camouflage from WW2:

They certainly have a nice interwar period feel to them, me likey!  That British geo camo has me intrigued.  Was it ever used or was it simply a test scheme?

Well, it's not point-to-point recreation, but I've been inspired by this scheme:

Excellent designs.

Nice, Jeremak!  I like the camo on the first one, especially.  The colors are very complementary.

Cheers,

That's one of the coolest camo schemes I've seen lately!

Well done!

What he said!!!!  Something about that blue on a tank just doesn't work for me.

I've seen the scheme done with green instead of blue. In fact, nearly all the drawings I've seen are green and so are the color pictures I've seen. However, I think some units painted them like that.  I've often thought of doing a Matalida just like that but then I think of trying to mask it off and put it away, again ...
