Always thought the Yamato would suit an American style weapons upgrade given that it already had a hanger deck at the rear.  Would make a great whif.

With this drawing I try to figure out how to trasform a Pola class cruiser into a design of an italian compact battleship that appears in page 237 of 'The Complete Encyclopedia of Battleships and Battlecruisers' by Tony Gibbons.

Displacement: 27,000 tons
Length: 190 m
Main armament: 6 x 15in

I found first profile in the internet marked as HMS Barham. I think that its bow is fictional. Am I right? Anyway I like mentioned bow and grafted it in HMS Warspite and HMS Royal Sovereign.

I once tried something alike (in 3D) with a B-24 and an aircraft carrier (but imgur seems to refuse my attempts at loading an image ...)

Reaching the limits of submarine.

Submarine Battleship. in a certain way it could be like a 'BIG' Surcouf https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_submarine_Surcouf

Submarine Aircraft Carrier.

First approach to Submarine Aircraft Carrier and Battleship. These are based on 2 bottom KGV hulls (remain of waterline cutting) glued together.

Alternative main artillery for Bismarck.

Insert: What I considered turrets could look with all big guns german designers considered during WWII, they also considered 2 gun turrets only.

In this line, I envisaged posibilities to intall them on a Bismarck hull. 15 inch is included for comparison purposes.

What if HMS Hood à la Richelieu (top), alternatively a more british option with bits taken from KGV

Interesting profiles.   What would be two medium looking turrets to stern of à la Richelieu style ?

Suggestion:  How about a 80s-ish modernization like on Iowa class ?

Nice work!

Been planning a build like that for several years, a Nelson with to quad 14" from a KGV forward and either 6" or 4.5" secondaries.  Superstructure would be moved forward to provide space for significantly enlarged machinery, rear facing hangar and stern mounted catapult.  The idea is a mid 30s battlecruiser to counter the Deutschlands.

What if a HMS Belfast equipped with 2x2 14 inch torrets (KGV's narrow turret). A kind of British pocket/compact Battleship

Two alternatives to install 2 quadruple 14 inch turrets (from kgv class) in HMS Hood. Old secubdary artillery is deleted and main turrets of HMS Belfast are intalled instead.

In these ideas I am mating Airfix 1/600 Moskva and Heller 1/400 Lenin. So a kind of scaleorama.

As what I like the most in Moskva is funnel, resulting projects must be powered by conventional means.

1. Civil icebreaker powered by steam turbine
2. Militar icebreaker equipped with anti-aircraf weapons
3. Militar icebreaker equipped with anti-aircraf and anti-submarine weapons

There are probably errors in armament ... never mind! My aim is aesthetics and coolness
