I always wondered what Japanese aircraft would look like in modern day blues. Thank you for that!!  :-*

The HArrier/A-4 combo is still great. Even better when I remember how they merged the A-4 and Harrier communities years back.

I painted this one up last night. Air-Ground Defence System for the M1.

I didn't like the original paintjob when I bought it so I redid it in proper woodland.

I do, too, and it would be doable with a version of the "straight-thru" Pegasus derivative that Rolls-Bristol studied for another purpose (hint: it burned hydrogen because the vehicle in question was already plumbed to use it for fuel).

Got bored and wanted to model. I'm obsessed with upgrading and modernizing tanks when I can, so I tried my hand with the M103.

I had a good model of a Bradley.. so I added armor and the new commander's sight for a M2A3 ODS.

Wow, haven't posted here in six months.

Anyway, recently I animated the AMX-30 for the game CivilizationIII. I thought it looked generic enough that it didn't look Eastern or Western, just generic and gave it camos from a lot of countries. Bet you've never seen it like this.

In case you need map for the camo patterns:

German Ambush, Arab(Iraqi lion of Babylon) yellow, Australia
Chinese BMP-1, Denmark Leo2, German Leo2
Iranian BMP-1, Japan, Modern Russian
Swedish Leo2, United Nations, speculative african woodland.. literally the woodland uniform pattern on a tank.
Argentina, French Brenus, Chilean
Desert, French AMX-30 B2, Greek
Green, Indian T-90, speculative North African Mahgreb
Spanish Leo2E, US Woodland, Venezuela

Sometimes I like to make my tanks in multiple  colors.. normally some camo, green and desert. But this time I went a little overboard.

So Blue Ridge has a 1/700 Arsenal Ship in the works huh???!!!  YIPPEE!!!!  The 3-D printer is just for the master right?  Large scale prints on those things are EXPENSIVE!!

I assume you've seen these drawings correct?  Scaled drawings from Lockheed for their version.

Yes, I remember seeing the Lockheed design many years ago and that is what inspired me to create my own version.

Nice touch with the hull number following on in the Battleship series from the last hull number for a Montana-class.

I seem to be having a hard time posting again.

I'm back to work.

Story: Last year I was running out of room on my computer for all my work so I bought a new 2TB drive to use as a new main and consolidate the majority of my files. 2 months later it failed and took nearly everything with it. All my art tools, my movies, and much much more that you can fill up a two terabytes with. I did not lose my 3d programs or files, but I did lose most everything else, including the reason why I got the new drive in the 1st place.. space. That was last April and I had not done anything creative since then. Add to that the usual real life issues that become road blocks that everyone faces so no need to share.

Last week I sorta got my old drive working. The drive didn't die, it slowed to a crawl. It would take 1 day to copy over a GB of data. One of the first things I was able to save was my art tools. This week I'm on vacation and I spent 12 solid hours doing what I had not been able to do for a year... ART!

half the time was spend finishing up this beauty. My Tupolev Black Bear. Now fully textured after 3 years of nothing.

40.71m Length
56.33m wingspan

With Fishbed escort

Oldie but a goldie, the Wright Fighter from the Turtledove books

My old Yak/Harrier/Skyhawk mutant

The Littlest Friends

Super Thud

Swept wing soviet naval Intruder copy.

Those last 5 are not 'new'.. but it's a new look at some of my old stuff.

Good to have you back…and with some classics! :)

I really like the Black Bear.  It looks much better than the crude drawing I did a while back:

Up all night doing some different camos for my Blackbear model.

starting from top left to right and on down.

Row 1. prototype paint taken from the 3rd T-50 PAKFA fighter.     Standard navy colors from Backfire in naval strike.
Row 2. Black naval taken from Su-34                                             No paint all metal finish
Row 3. Frontal aviation Su-24 Fencer                                            1st PAKFA prototype paint
Row 4. just for shits and giggles, Vietnam era B-52 paint.
