Oh wow, how did I miss that idea? That just screams to be done, and I DO have a surplus of F-18s.

That is without a doubt the best Fw-190 I have ever seen ;)

Interesting arrangement for the operator, like the little elbow pads, a very nice touch on the details.

Right: "Mother of all Mistels" it is.
Love the art work.  So many kitbash concepts.  If only I could build faster.

His screen name at Flikr is dizzyfugu and he has some really nice models in his image gallery.  The one that caught my attention first is his 1:72 Italeri - MiG-37Sh ‘бе́лая сова́’/ ‘Snowy owl’ (Ferret G); Russian Air Force "305 Grey"; 970th IISAP, Lipetsk, 2001 (Whif/kit conversion)

Click on html or thumbnail image to access dizzyfugu's flikr page and his image gallery.  Enjoy!

His MiG-37 includes a series of images showing the finished model along with a back story/alternate history and build history on the kit.  This is the same guy that was making an aircraft model display base using hexagonal tiles.  Yes, invitation sent.  Had to create a flikr account in order to contact him but it is part of Yahoo so it was easy enough to do since I have a Yahoo eMail address.  Now to hurry up and wait for a reply or see if he joins our rebellious little group.

Sent message to him via flikr.com and did that.  But it won't hurt to follow up with an eMail from one of the other members here that has access to his eMail address over at what if modelers forum or any of the other forums where you know that he is an active member.

His improvements to that old Revell kit are quite impressive.  Back story was entertaining as well.

Really nice indeed!  :) The Seamaster is one I wouldn't mind to see repopped in Revell's "Classics" line.  :D

Found on the what's new page at Modellversium.de this afternoon:

1:48th scale what if Mikoyan MiG-28 Hawk built by Florentin Manea

Click on html or thumbnail image to view.

***update with some additional details.  Herr Florentin used parts from an Airfix Hawk and the Italeri (old ESCI mold) MiG-27 to create his MiG-28.  A nice combination of the parts and that Hawk windscreen/canopy looks a lot better than the original two-seat MiG.
