Nice, but why two engines? The rear section of the BTR-80 can be turned into more cargo space, something like the modular cargo area of the GAZ Vodnik

Man, I need to build that short M47! While it would work fine as is, I might want to back-date it with a Sherman T80 (T23) 76mm turret.

The Jadgleopard 1 -120mm is calling me too!

How about an M18 with an M4 Sherman turret?

Here, in first drawing, I combine the turret of M10 and the hull of M4A3E8, my favourite components in the vast and complicated (at least, for me) field of US armor during WWII. Second is a conversion in a kind of recce or command version, with gun reduced to 50 mm or so.

Great work Carlos!

Your Sherman with the smaller gun is something I have been thinking about for some time.  Though, my version would keep the Sherman turret and install a 57mm/6-pdr to create an infantry support tank.  Something that could have been assigned to the tank company of the infantry regiment.

Your M18 with the M8 Turret also looks like a great combination of parts.  I see no reason why you could not increase the size of the main gun provided there is room for the weapon to recoil in to the confines of the turret.

Sherman turret on the M18 looks just as I had imagined it would.  Wonder if there would be sufficient clearance under the turret basket for the thing to fit as a drop-in modification.  Ammunition storage might be a bit less but it would be a great little tank with a speed advantage.

Another mash up to consider would be the turret from the AMX-13 mated to the hull of the Panzer IV or the Panther, or both.

How about a Russian PT-76 tank hull with an AMX-13 turret?

Here you have the crossing of PT-76 and AMX-13. Funnily, I find the AMX hull with PT turret the best looking.  :D
