Title: Focke Wulf Ta183 Ideas and Inspiration
Post by: GTX_Admin on December 28, 2011, 03:24:32 AM
Hi folks,

A thread for Focke Wulf Ta183 Ideas and Inspiration.

First up some whiffs I threw together quickly - first is original, unmodified (for comparison).  Second is a stretched fuselage (with more fuel) single seat fighter.  Last is a two seat trainer based upon the stretched version.

What else can you suggest.

Regards,

Greg

How about a ground launched Anti-Shipping (or anti -anything for that matter) Missile variant:

Not sure it is accurately scaled, but you get the idea:

And finally, if that isn't enough inspiration, Richard's Decals should be (click on picture for more details):

There's no 'probably' about it!  :)

Mind you, he'll probably do one with only one cockpit.....  ;)

The Zwilling might actually be flyable, unlike the RW aircraft.  ::)

I've always wondered if there really was a prototype of the Ta.183.  None were ever found and some say no there wasn't, whereas some other aircraft in the 2nd Generation jet competition did have prototypes built so how did the Ta.183 ever get chosen

Probably because Tank's name was associated with it, and it was most likely a good thing for him a prototype wasn't built and a flight attempted.
 ;D

I love 'ugly' airplanes, but not this craptastic thing. blerg.  :-X

Not the best picture, but I showed this photo to Richard Chafer and he drew it up.  I was genuinely flattered.

And, yes, the kit still needs to be finished off.

A "little" late to the game on this one, but how about a photo-recce version, since there were at least two drawings of it.
