Here is an interesting shot of RCAF Lancaster FM104 with 107 Rescue Unit. Note the dark lightning bolt cheat line along the fuselage and the huge "Rescue" on the bomb bay doors. This aircraft is now in Sidney, BC being restored at the British Columbia Aviation Museum. (RCAF photo)

Patrick Martin's books on RCAF Finish and Markings doesn't say anything about the black cheatline, which is odd because the CanMilAir Lancaster decal sheet I used to put on this project has them too. And Bill of CanMilAir and Patrick are buddies

Pic of the day - coming back from RAF Valley - we had spent 2 days doing Air Combat - my shortest flight was 11 minutes - 2 engagements and landing with minimum fuel - obviously in the day’s before global warming 😂
