Title: Baxmod Models
Post by: Rickshaw on June 28, 2013, 06:19:45 PM
Baxmod Models do a range of 1/72 and 1/35 South African AFVs.

Baxmod has just announced the release of their G6 SPG in 1/35 scale  price is 800 Rand (about $Aus86.00 at today's rate).  It has interior detail and is not just a lump of Resin.

They have exactly 11 models for sale as of today.  So be quick, if you're interested!

Damn you Brian! ;).  Multiple orders just placed.  When you look at their price list to place orders there are some very interesting additional items (24 to be exact) including trucks and at least one UAV...the Bateleur:

Can't wait to receive! :)

No, damn you, Greg!   ;)

I want a G6 but am too broke at the moment to afford it.  And as there are only 11 made, it will be gone before I can afford it.  :(

Arrr... (insert swear word) I have the execrable Aerografix version of the G6.. which is a perpetual shelf queen being so poorly detailed.
Great idea when I got it >:(

I'm on the Baxmod mailing list and been following the G6 as it's master has been built.  It's a lovely kit and there is a considerable amount of interior detail.  I'm just annoyed its arrived at the wrong time in my budgetary cycle.   :(

I have a confession to make.  My love of UAVs has clouded my perspective.  The Baxmod 1/35 Bateleur is not of the UAV I indicated above.  Rather, it is the Valkiri Bateleur MLRS as shown below:

For my crime I am punishing myself with a kit thereof... :(

Launching price is MSRP R1950 (US$ 173.47) for the kit plus R600 (US$ 53.38) for /postage/shipping from RSA.  That is actually a very reasonable price considering the size of that kit.

New one:

Given it is based on the Unimog truck, I am awfully tempted to get one to do in Australian markings.
