So after a looooong lay off I am finally back to work. Bored on the road I needed to create something so I went and aquired a couple o these
(http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh50/sotoolslinger/pink/IMG_4645.jpg)
So I basically combined both into these component parts

I will be putting the main parts into the primary hull today, more pics later.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Back! :)
The Tim Taylor solution for adding more power?
-
Yep definitely more power. I had originally visualized it as a sort of x wing design but after I got to playing around with the parts she ended up looking like this...

More like a dragster >:D
-
Real men like puppies and are comfortable modeling with pink plastic kits. ;D
-
Yep :) Like puppies and kittens :-* Also leaving her Pink. Although I will be applying the massive amount of Aztec decals included. >:D

GO RON GO!!! :-*
NO WAIT!!
Welcome back!!!! :-\
-
Wow is it ever great to see you back, Ron and working on a model! Star Trek based to boot!
Fantastic! More power is always a killer idea! She sure looks sleek and fast!

Hey thanks my brothers. It was a long depressing time being laid off and I was way uninspired. Stuff sucks much less now :) ;) ;D :-*. I'll be working in motel rooms again and working on this basic frame for a while but I will keep her going and keep her pink >:D
-
Hi Ron - nice to see you back! :)
This thing looks great: can't wait to see it finished!
-
Welcome back/home :)
-
I like it!
-
Hey all y'all :-* Thanks for the welcomes back. I really appreciate it.
-
Great to have you back Ron!!!
-
Good to have you back, Ron! :)
These long-ish pods wouldn't look out of place on some mech or tank, making awesome railguns or something to that effect! >:D
-
Wait, guns...where are the guns?
Or does this speedy wonder do a "concealed carry"?
Hehehehehe...

Excellent....I like PINK!! :-*

I'm always amazed at guys like you and Eddie who can transform shapes into something so viable/worthwhile. The cool thing about this latest concoction of yours, Ron, is that it could be ALL sorts of different things and at different scales: the next Bladerunner "Spinner" (flying cop car) in 1:24 scale or a fast Stellar Frigate in, say 1:600 scale. I'd like to see this same design in a digital camo finish of black and various greys/gun metals...how much would you charge to build me a second one that I could paint up?
-
Hey thanks all y'all :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* I am just happy to be inspired enough to actually build again.
B Da B the two black things at the nose are torpedo tubes The rest of the weapons are forthcoming >:D
Bazz , of course ,to you there will be no charge. :-* :) I'll get right on it.
-
:icon_jedi: the chosen one has returned! :icon_jedi:
-
Thanks Paper Master :-* I am honored :)
So there were only six original parts left on the sprues from both original models >:D
I got it in my head (the voices told me) that I really needed to use every part from both models :icon_beer:
So I had 4 little bladelike things that I added to the tips of the outriggers
(http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh50/sotoolslinger/pink/IMG_4657.jpg)
That left me with these two big panels (+ two cut off discards)
Keeping with the whole diamondy shape thing I got going I cut and combined them like this
(http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh50/sotoolslinger/pink/IMG_4653.jpg)
And then installed them like this

Ron, she looks great! I agree with JHM, this could be lot's of different things, very cool. I'm also glad to hear your back out in the workforce again. :)
-
Glad to see you're gainfully employed again...and I hear you've got a job, too ;)
Nice to seee you back in action, Ron. The build is looking pretty cool.
-
Ron, this is a vast improvement over the original kit. I love the vanes at the rear!
Good to hear that you now have a means to buy more kits!
-
Thanks all y'all :-* Yes it is soooo good to be back to work. :) My honey is much happier now too >:( ;D
