Trouble posting from a tablet
« on: December 14, 2016, 12:16:09 PM »
Hello all. I've recently tried posting photos from my tablet and it keeps telling me that my file is too big. I've tried going to settings to lower resolution etc with no luck. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The photo bucket app doesn't seem very helpful. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Attachments are limited to 375kb each, 1500 total (four images per post).
Currently the max width for posted phitos (i.e. linked from Photobucket etc.)
is 1200 pixels, but all, that means is that it'll be downsized for viewing.

If you are using the attachment feature you'll need to adjust the image size rather than the resolution.
Generally a width of 800 to 1000 pixels at 72dpi is more than adequate.

Thanks for the reply. I think I figured out what I was doing wrong with the file size. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was scratching my head on how to link photos from the photobucket app on my tablet because it's different from the pictures here on the forum. I managed to get some pictures up by poking and prodding around with the app.
