Kerick has indicated interest in what I have in my cabinet so here's a few pics of what's there.

Some very nice work! I recall the MB whiffs now.
Display room gets to be quite a problem after a while. That's one reason I've built so many 1/72nd scale kits.
Thanks for the pics.

Thanks kerick, I'll get pics up of the rest of them soon, just had to sort out my camera. Somehow the settings got messed up which I think was when I was trying to take photos of the recent lunar eclipse.  Anyway, it seems I don't have any pics of some of them so I'll get some pics done as I go along.

So back right corner

F-15E Prototype OOB IIRC

and in the front corner

Harrier T-10  OOB

Two more are these two

Gloster Meteor Mk.III OOB mostly. I modified the tail pipes and re-profiled the nacelle ends. This was what they were changed to by the time this Meteor was cold weather tested in Canada. It was 'gifted' to the RCAF after all the testing was done becoming the RCAF's first jet fighter.

Then there's a P-47D OOB except for the colour scheme. This was real world and used by the head instructor in Egypt. I later found out that the decals I used which had the cheatline and cowling ring colour in silver, was really RAF red. I also changed the prop to a Hamilton Standard which were installed on all RAF P-47's

Great stuff all around! How did you do the chocolate chip camo on the chopper? Decals?

Yes, decals. I drew up a bunch of stone shapes in AutoCad, big and small, in groups and separate items. I then asked Bill at CanMilAir Decals if he would print them for me as my printer doesn't do white.

Here's the end result of mine and his efforts. I only needed to pay for the printing and mailing so I bought a couple of sheets

F-4J (UK)  OOB but I thought Hasegawa had missed something so I added it. Turns out I whiffed it a bit

F-4E OOB  not sure I got the colours correct but this was way back in the 80's when I got back into model building and tried out acrylics.

You might notice that some of them don't have decals on. Story behind that was I had just got back into the hobby and from experience from my first go around at the hobby in the UK, I didn't like the edges the decals ended up with once dried. So I didn't put them on but it wasn't until after I got my first computer and got onto the internet and joined a few forums, was when I found out how to do it. By then though these had all been hung on the ceiling and I couldn't be bothered to get them down and finish them. But that may change now, my plan is to do a few at a time so I don't get 'decaled' out.

Here's a few pics of the ceiling before we moved out onto the acreage.

Great collection! I don't think my wife would go for that. She would at least demand I take them down and clean them!

Thanks Bill,

Everything in the cabinet and on the ceiling are in 1/72. Except two on the ceiling, a Tamiya 1/48 617Sqn Grand Slam Lancaster which at the time I bought it, the only kit with the bomb and I'm putting markings on it to represent an aircraft my Dad worked on during his time in the squadron ('44-'46), the other is a 1/48 Revell T-6 Texian.

I need more display space. I need to take my own advice and build some plexiglass “middle shelves”. I have some plastic at home but I need rods or tubes for supports. I wonder how PVC would work?

Years ago, I had some acrylics risers made for me. They were relatively cheap and fit in my cat proof Ikea display cases.

There are tons of acrylic display risers on amazon now. Still fairly cheap.
