Am I correct in thinking Daimler-Benz engines rather than the Junkers Jumo engines flown on this airframe in the real world?  I quite like the look you've given these.

No,in the real world it was used JUMO 211 Da engine from Savoia Marchetti JRS 79 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAR_80 - read further developments

Yess, I know that in the real world the Junkers Jumo 211 was used.  I was asking if the aircraft in your profile used that or a Daimler-Benz engine.  THe cowling looked more suitable for the latter but I wasn't certain.

there was a 2-seat IAR-80 - lengthened fuselage & square canopy like the 2-seat Fw-190 - it was called the IAR-27 - possible night-fighter ?
