That's just weird but totally in sync with the Mecha (Macross/Gundam/etc.) ethos.

What would make it more weird would be an even smaller human(oid) sitting in the back of the pilot's head. ;D

The ever diminutive "pilots" would only be limited by the modeller's skill set & the power of their magnification systems. ;D
