Looks great, and that blue is very nice. The boat looks like it belongs in the Strategic Space Command.

A link to the SSC is an interesting notion, and that 'atom punk' aesthetic does dovetail nicely.

Just about there.

The base is two pieces of scrap plexiglass, one given a rough brushing of sea blue before being glued to the top slab, which
was given a layer of water effects. I'm going to attempt a spray effect coming off the foli this coming weekend.

“Atom punk” is a new phrase to me and fits perfectly. Nice work on the base so far. Looking forward to what you do for the spray effect.

I like the red trim - it looks like it would be comfortable in either the SSC or Johnny Quest universe.

Colleagues, Friends - thank you for kind words. The spray effect isn't as effective as I'd like - but for a first attempt, I think it shows some promise. The photos show what I was doing.

As you saw in the earlier photos, the foil rests on the plane of the base, with the tinted water effects buiilt up around it. The cut piece of acetate, warped a bit over a candle flame, was hazarded across the trailing edge.

Test fit

And a roll of 'cotton' gauze glued to the leading edge. I raked water effects across the top and bottom of the acteate, but I'm afraid
my photoraphy skill aren't up to capturing the effect.

And you can view the finished product in the 'Completed' Thread. ;)

That's one mighty impressive build, Doc and your outstanding work on the hydrofoil is complimented nicely by that fine watery base!

Fantastic! And fast!
