Old quick-n-dirty twin notion. I actually had the stuff to build this one, and a twin-boom variation with tail-gun,
but I lost interest so I sent the kits, along with a bunch of other stuff, to Greg (cthulhu77).

I also futzed around with a navalised conversion of the Trumpeter 1/32 A-10 NAW,
with a three-barrel reduced weight main gun and folding wings. I kept flip-flopping
between up-n-over, skewed-hinge line (ala the S2F) or full-on twist-n-fold old-school
Grumman style. Again I lost interest, so I donated the kit to the IPMS-Seattle Show raffle.

I've now decided that if I was to do a folding wing A-10, that due to the brutal appearance
of the aircraft it would have to be a a Fairey Fulmar or Barracuda style wing-fold.  ;D

Oh Yes,,, is sweet in blue.    Thanks

Am I seeing double?    Nope; it is A-10's own F-82  :icon_surprised:

Nice stuff!  :)

Didn't someone do a really cool profile of an amphibian A-10? Kinda like a down-scaled Be-200? Can't find it at the moment, though.
Cheers,
Moritz

You know how the Bronco was supposed to be operable from floats? Weeeell...
So are those floats just braced that way or are they retractable up to the wing?  The open truss there works for the second, for the first I'd expect a rather more faired strut picking up the trunnions, main and bracing, for the main landing gear on each side.

The turbo prop A-10 looks so right!
I did a standard A-10 in RAAF paint a while back.

I have it in mind to do a couple of RAF Thunderbolts one of these years. The idea is that European air forces won't look at them without all-weather kit, so the RAF ones have a range of avionics similar to Harriers/Jaguars/Tornados. Some of this stuff was tested in principle on the N/AW A-10 demonstrator. The idea is that the single-seater is the main "bomb-truck" while the two-seaters support them with battlefield SEAD and off-boresight laser designation.

Single Seater:

Terrain-following radar in one u/c fairing
LRMTS in other u/c fairing
Harrier GR.7-style FLIR just below the windscreen sill-line in place of the IFR socket
Lightning-style refuelling probe bolted under one outer wing
Harrier GR.7-style RWR "horns" under nose

Two-seater: All of the above, plus:

GAU-8A replaced by an Oerlikon KCA plus a small ammo box (same ammo as the GAU-8)
Serious volume of SEAD avionics in former ammo-tank bay
Wired for ALARMS, jammer pods and TIALD pods

I am planning an RAF A-10A N/AW using the Trumpeter 1/32 kit.

I will be installing a refuelling probe on the nose ala Buccaneer/Intruder. Probably be finished in wrap around gray/green cammo, possibly overall gunship gray. Markings will be 617 Squadron.

Have thought of fitting the Tornado LRMTS and FLIR pods from Relish models

Speaking of two-seat A-10s, how about one in the "Missileer" role with the magazine replaced by "black boxes" and a suitable antenna in the nose (same AWG-9 or AN/APG-71 as on the F-14) and lots of AIM-54s, with a few Sidewinders on the outboard hardpoints?
