I wonder if the JH-7A is a new mould or a mod of the old JH-7 one? I hope it's the former because the old one has major shape issues: not the kind that only JMNs care about, but the kind that make it look ridiculous.

The whole body of the old JH-7 is about 20-30% too deep.

I want to do a "western" version of it... Centurion lower hull, front engined/reversed transmission, with a cab like 2S7 or M8 Tractor, and an Honest John on the launcher.

Corporal or Sergeant would be more comparable.    Honest John is closer to the Soviet FROG series than the SCUD.

If you want to go the expensive route, this could be fodder for two whiffs when combined with a 1/48 Su-15, a single-engine Su-15 and an operational version of the twin-engine Su-9-based Sukhoi experimental (I don't remember their exact designation for it) that used the same engines as later used in the Su-15.
