To the best of my knowledge. the only things replaced have been jettisonable stores (bad form if a live bomb fell off the Stuka).  The main hall of the museum is quite something.  The building itself is over 100 years old and is one of the few remnants of the Columbian Exposition.

The Spitfire and Stuka are the originals, complete with bullet holes.
If you are into model railroading there is a display you could spend hours just watching.

The kit is already available.  Some stats:

48 figures included
L: 1398.3mm, W: 136.9mm
Total parts: 1100+

There's a large scale corporate cut away model of the submarines I used to work on that does my head in, it has some major inaccuracies that where obviously put there so as not to give away certain performance details, i.e. the size and configuration of the batteries, which would permit a clued in party to extrapolate the designs indiscretion rate if they saw the real thing.  Knowing the reason why its wrong still doesn't help my inner rivet counter.

I am surprised they don't include a copy of "Das Boot" on DVD or similar media in the box.  One would think it would be almost obligatory...
Do it up right and also include the filmstrips of the capture of the U-505?  The original of which is still part of the Chicago Museum of Industry (we have Spitfire and Stuka models hanging from the ceiling, they have real ones, along with the Travelair Mystery Racer and a number of other significant aircraft).  *chuckle* Of course, it is only "coincidental" that Chicago is also the hometown of Admiral Daniel V. Gallery whose task force captured the submarine.  If you can find copies, his written works, both non-fiction and fiction are good reads (much of the fiction is highly humorous, though he as at least one solid and serious novel, too).

That would be one of the five Travel Air Type R, specifically Frank Hawks Texaco 13 c/n R-2004,
registered NR1313. It was quite bit different from the other Type Rs, and only raced once, with
short panel wings, in the 1930 Thompson Trophy. The aircraft spent its career primarily setting
cross-country and inter-city records.

Now listed at Hannants as a Future Release.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Way to go Greg!  Taking another hit for the team.  Maybe time to set up a "Go Fund Me" to offset these purchases?
Mission statement being that someone has to buy the resin kit before the injection molded model can become available to the rest of us... :)

Great to see some of these quite small in actual numbers subjects being offered as models but FFS would someone please produce an F-86H Sabre in 1:48th scale that is not vacu-form or resin.

Maybe you should claim to have bought the expensive resin in a false flag operation and see if that has the same effect?

Well, the 1/72 KV-2 is a welcome sight, anyhow. I had almost come to the conclusion that Trumpeter was abandoning the scale for armor kits.
