1) Any kit, $20@ plus USPS Large Postage CONUS.
Gone; BMP2E, URAL truck.

If you're not emotionally attached to the factory boxes, I can *usually* get two kits into one USPS Medium Box (@$17 shipping).

2) Upon last inventory (this morning), all contents appear to be complete /still sealed / unmessed with.

3) Bundle deals possible.

4) Need more pics, contact by PM and specify your desires.

5) Yes, I know the T62/A [update - scroll down] and T55s weren't in this latest conflict. Consider them outliers or potential donor hulls.

You could do the T-62 as a Ukraine Whiff - they did have some in the past so, why not have one returned to service?

There's a Cheasapeake Model Designs early T62 turret included, so 1) if it doesn't appeal to anyone here and 2) I work through my stack of "in progress" trays  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  then I'd consider something with an "other-than-green" coat.

Maybe Cubans in Angola? Somewhere around here are my pics of the SADF stuff I've built.

No longer wiff.

"The echelon of obsolete T-62 tanks, which the Russians had, after all, taken out of storage, arrived in Melitopol today (May 25 - ed.)."
"30 units of Russian military equipment entered the village of Kyrylivka. Armoured personnel carriers are stationed at virtually almost every intersection, according to local residents."

Confirmed. Some have bra armor, some turret-front ERA. https://twitter.com/i/status/1529404520828133380

Russian T-62M tanks with roof screens are seen in Kherson Oblast. They have been geolocated on a few pages already ,the T-62M's in Beryslav. Tanks are going towards east.

Is the bar armor on the rear of the turret attached to the turret or the hull?  What is the purpose of the screen?

That's the engine radiator cover - the engine is probably overheating so it's common to see them driving with the covers open to get better cooling.

I agree with Frank's call on that as well.  Raised engine and drive train deck cover.  The "tell" is the pair of open rectangular holes towards the top of the thing that correspond with the cooling vents at the rear of the hull.  Also the open engine and drive train is rather evident even with the image enlarged but the details are a bit grainy so most would dismiss this for what it is at first glance.

A (probably) unintended benefit is that the open engine deck plating also becomes a de-facto RPG screen for the turret's rear arc (4 o'clock to 8 o'clock) with the drawback that the turret can't traverse through that arc.

Note that the sunshade over the pergola also works as a drone-delivered anti-hand-grenade screen (since we've seen several Russian tanks immolated by UA drones delivering frag or whatever grenades.

Note that the T62 is the last Soviet tank with a four-man crew and no autoloader (so it's got that going for it).

With our tanks, you can fire the main gun from the TC's station (known as 'degraded mode' when you only have a three man crew).

I don't remember digging deep enough into Soviet manuals to see if that was one of their capabilities as well, but it would seem to actually be desirable for T62 operators in 2022; shortages of trained personnel, ease of training a Gopnik to stick big pointy end of shell in first, range estimation for the 115mm not being a high requirement, high probability of having to bail out of a stricken tank, etc.

I think even a cheap Chinese RPG-7 would penetrate the engine cover cause some damage to the turret - maybe by jamming it with the bent steel from the cover. I'm sure the Russians will use these against soft targets, like mothers pushing baby strollers/prams.

The John Deere will be considerably more expensive than whatever he's towing.   ;D
Then again, that probably holds true even for newer Russian armour.

The cover over the crew might discourage UAVs dropping grenades on them but now the drone could drop it into the engine compartment. Plus now the crew canít see the drone coming. Brilliant, not!

Under the definition of 'combined arms', tanks would be supported by infantry on ATGM and Air watches.

The Russians are obviously incapable of practical applications of Combined Arms.
