Great suggestion Moritz! Would this suggested arrangement allow for more than three Sparrows? I am guessing that each Sparrow would be positioned where the original weapons bay doors had been located. Maybe possible to squeeze in an additional two Sparrows on the outside edges of the original weapons bays? What about supplemental AAM mounted on the wings in addition to the original fuel tanks/pylons? A pair of pylons inboard ahead of the MLG to carry one or two AIM-9 Sidewinders?

Post by: upnorth on November 03, 2023, 10:14:57 PM: I think the F-102 would look pretty good in Spanish markings and the arid camo that the Spanish air force put on their Mirage F.1 fleet.

Also, maybe give it a double delta or cranked delta wing. The inner section could be thicker and accommodate more fuel.
