1/1000 SBY Zoellugut Class Astro Combat Vessel
« on: June 01, 2015, 11:49:56 AM »
Hi guys

This is the latest ship to come of my production line - the modified Zoellugut class super dreadnought. On the box, it's called the Domelaze, but mine isn't that one. In fact, it doesn't even have a name as it's my own version.
For those of you who are die hard purists, you my want to look away now as it isn't close to what you see on the show.
For those of you who like a bit of variety to your subjects this may appease you - or it may not. Judge for yourselves
It was about 3 months worth of work and I am happy with it
It will be on display at Expo this weekend

And now for the lit shots:

If your interested, there is a full WIP here: http://madhatterscaleworks.blogspot.com.au

thanks for looking
Si

That's funky! 8)

Wish I could get to Melbourne but, even though I have the weekend off, I don't have any travel time either side (arvo shift Friday, day shift Monday) ... nor money.

Maybe next year, I'll try to save & take some time off.

thanks fellas

Brian, yeah, about that demo.........nah just kidding - I'll be there :)
Wombat, it's a shame you can't make it - I was hoping to get to meet you and see some of your works in the plastic. Hopefully, you'll be there next year

Next up will be the EC-135 Gunship. I'll do a WIP thread here once I've started it.
Mind you, I really need to finish off the BV-222 and the Pegasus, but they can wait until I have renewed interest in both of them

I know nothing about the series but I know a good model when I see it. Worth every second of your three months time I'd say. Excellent stuff.

Love to se eit for real but can't drive down this time, maybe next year. Nuts, even went to the Qld IPMS PX on the Saturday (when it wasnt on) instead of the Sunday (when it was on)  :-[ so who am I kidding, I'll never get there. Even if I do I'll get the wrong city. Even my GPS hates me. Just call me Marvin.  :icon_sueno:

To paraphrase what some say about art, I don't know much about Domelaze, but I know what I like.

And I like this one a lot! You sure made this baby look like it's seen its share of adventures. The weathering works incredibly well with that classic red & black scheme.

A marvel to behold my friend!
