Title: Starch Wars - Millenary Goshawk 1/350 - Finished 2015/12/03
Post by: Antonio Sobral on November 23, 2015, 04:22:21 AM
Hi guys

Being a little bit sick of so much Star Wars stuff going on, I started my own private Saga:
Starch Wars, aka "The Low Carb Wars" where the Fork is always with you, regardless of what you do...:)

You got the point, right?
I have had no patience to develop the idea much further, so I started the model instead :)

As usual, no commercial kit involved. Just an empty modest humble correcting tape machine:

And her is how it evolved, adding just some pieces of plastic:

And just to show you the real dimensions of it...

And that's about it, in terms of the model itself.

A simple base with some figures will follow...

Thanks for watching!

You blaze new model frontiers,,,   and I love it :-*

Can be GB topic where one starts with a non-model and bashes it into a model.

Oh, I like that idea!   :-*

Now will you paint it white or light grey or a touch of blue? Studio model colors or replicate screen colors? Which movie?  ;)  ;)

Great work with a common object! Love it!! This is why I enjoy whiffing.

Unless I'm mistaken that's the one that did the Kettle run in less than twelve parsnips...

Sensational job Antonio !

Oh that's some excellent greeblification there - well done!

Reminds me of an idea I had: what if the Carry On team had lasted long enough to do a Star Wars parody?  >:D  (IIRC one of the very first, never filmed Carry On scripts was something like Carry On Spaceman!)

Hi guys

Thanks for the nice words!

And after a busy Black Friday, here is the result:

The base:

With a little initial color...

With the primer, at last! :)

With several different tones, to add diversity:

And the base painting is done:

Now is time to get some 1/350 figures, and the final weathering stage.

Thanks for watching!

Excellent result!

You are to be congratulated Wobby-Wun JelloBee. Converting that stark eraser shows that the fork is indeed strong with you although I do find your lack of plate disturbing  :-[

(I'm sorry, so *&#$ing sorry for that [thanks Mr Cleese], too many Star Wars puns at work. Off to watch Spaceballs now for some really horrendous parody).

For someone who is sick of Star Wars, that is wonderfully evocative of said "epic" without actually being of it.

Beautifully imaginative! :)

This great. good on you. i've collected three of these empties on the basis of 'some day'and havent done a damn thing with any of them.

Having just seen Episode VII for the second time (onlty time i've ever paid twice to see a movie) it looks really really great.
