Your killin' me! You've been bangin' out some killer stuff lately and I'm having a hard time remembering the last time i saw my bench. Some truly awesome stuff, I'm green with envy.
Thanks Doom!! I am moving to TX in about 6 weeks so projects need to be finished or boxed up.
Kind of makes you wonder what a JASDF F-14 Tomcat would look like in some of the special markings that were used on their F-15 fleet.
I do plan on building an 1/32 F-14D(J) in this scheme:

With all the resin sets I have collected over the years
Very proud of this one, exceeded all expectations:
A6M(classified variant) Zero, Tokyo 1945
Was looking for a nice OOB build that was supposed to be quick (that should get a big LOL at this point) Using rattlebombs to practice my Sci Fi striping/masking patterns. picked the 1/48 HAse Zero out of the stash. scheme is based on the Homeworld Elite style, with stripes cut and applied using "the rule of cool" . I stuck to a pretty basic color pallette as well. Black, gray, white, and silver. The fuselage got a terribly pebbley finish when exposed to too much over spray. Much sanding ensued. I managed to smooth it out well enough but could not rid it of a chalky residue tried everything, soap, water, rubbing alcohol, tac rags, nothing seemed to work. So realizing it was a make or break moment I dipped the tail tip in Future and it seemed to fix it! So gloss coats and decals followed and then I put it all together over the last few days. Its not perfect (if the seams count as recessed detail my zero has lots!) but that's how it goes when you paint everything separately and bring it together at the end without PSRing and repainting. Very fun to do an OOB build.
My backstory is that these specially armed and equipped secretive Zeros escorted VIP transports after Adm. Yamamato's death.
Quite happy with the result.
